“Quiero entenderos pero habláis en acertijos” é uma fanzine A5 criada com o objetivo de sensibilizar sobre o autismo feminino.A sociedade continua a associar o autismo a certos estereótipos, fazendo com que as pessoas no espectro lidem com discriminação capacitista no dia a dia. Assim, esta fanzine tem como objetivo desestigmatizar e proporcionar uma perspetiva de género sobre o tema.Como artista feminina no espectro, o meu objetivo foi contribuir para uma representação mais diversificada e precisa das pessoas autistas, especialmente das mulheres.Esta fanzine também é impressa em papel reciclado.
“Quiero entenderos pero habláis en acertijos” is an A5 fanzine created in order to raise awareness about female autism. Society continues to associate autism with certain stereotypes, causing people on the spectrum to deal with ableist discrimination on a daily basis. In this way, this fanzine aims to destigmatize and provide a gender perspective on the topic. As a female artist on the spectrum, my goal was to contribute to a more diverse and accurate representation of autistic people, specially women. This fanzine is also printed on recycled paper.
The only person involved in this fanzine is me, Laura Pérez Rodríguez, a 25 years old spanish multidisciplinary artist on the autistic spectrum, mainly focused on illustration and photography. I graduated in Fine Arts at the “Universidad Complutense de Madrid” where I focused my artistic practice against social injustices such as violence against women and neurodivergent people. After graduating, I worked as an illustrator and graphic designer for bands, theater companies and activist movements. I am currently studying a masters in International Cooperation and Humanitarian Action while collaborating with a migrant activist group in southern Italy (Movimento Migranti e Rifugiati Napoli) and taking part in an European project consisting of the use of art for the promotion of human rights and peace (“We make art”).
