PLOTZ
Plotz é uma fanzine americana sobre a vida judaica nova-iorquina. Com um grafismo sóbrio que faz lembrar no traço as ilustrações dos anos 40/50, mas com o humor irreverente da cena alternativa dos anos 90, a publicação trás-nos à lembrança o mundo impertinente e obsessivo de Woody Allen (ainda que esta afirmação possa doer a Barbara Plotz - a editora da fanzine). Os artigos em estilo dinâmico e inteligente contam com a assinatura de pessoas como John Bowe, co-argumentista do filme “Basquiat”. A tradição judaica já não é o que era: “as meninas judias decentes não fazem sexo” ou “tudo o que sempre quis saber sobre funerais judeus” ou, ainda, uma lista de artistas porno judeus são alguns dos artigos que se podem encontrar nesta sarcástica publicação.
Plotz is an American fanzine about Jewish life in New York. With a sober graphic design reminiscent of the illustrations of the 40's/50's, but with the irreverent humor of the alternative scene of the 90's, the publication reminds us of the impertinent and obsessive world of Woody Allen (although this statement may hurt Barbara Plotz - the fanzine's editor). The articles in a dynamic and intelligent style are signed by people like John Bowe, co-writer of the film "Basquiat". Jewish tradition is not what it used to be: "decent Jewish girls don't have sex" or "everything you ever wanted to know about Jewish funerals" or a list of Jewish porn stars are some of the articles that can be found in this sarcastic publication.
