Mão em Mão
mão em mão é um livro feito para ser passado de mão em mão, tal como os afetos, que se multiplicam de pessoa para pessoa, de comunidade para sociedade e de sociedade para humanidade.
Ao longo das suas páginas, um par de mãos percorre as várias dimensões do afeto, começando pelo amor global, com referência à Palestina, e a capacidade de sentir a dor de outra pessoa que nunca se conhecerá. Um afeto pela humanidade, expresso através da empatia, da raiva e da ação. Passa depois ao afeto social, aquele que é comum a todos os que partilham a rua numa manifestação por uma causa comum. O amor pela justiça. Depois, há a dimensão comunitária. O afeto como um espaço seguro, um lugar onde nos integramos e onde podemos ser inteiros. Finalmente chegamos a casa, o afeto entre pessoas que partilham esse espaço íntimo, e depois o afeto de um para um, laços de profundo conhecimento, passando pelo amor animal e culminando no amor-próprio, inerente a todos os outros.

mão em mão (hand in hand) is a book made to be passed from hand to hand, just like affections, which multiply from person to person, from community to society, and from society to humanity.
Throughout its pages, a pair of hands travels through the various dimensions of affection, beginning with global love, with reference to Palestine, and the ability to feel the pain of another person one will never meet. An affection for humanity, expressed through empathy, anger, and action. It then moves to social affection, the kind shared by all who take to the streets in a demonstration for a common cause. The love of justice. Then comes the community dimension: affection as a safe space, a place where we belong and where we can be whole. Finally, we arrive home: the affection between those who share that intimate space, followed by one-to-one affection, bonds of deep knowing, including animal love and culminating in self-love, which underpins all the others.

PT | Lucas (25 anos, Ovar) é uma artista multidisciplinar formada entre Belas Artes e Filosofia, com experiência em stop motion, performance, new media e artes gráficas. Licenciou-se em Estudos Gerais pela FBAUL e FLUL, com passagem pela École Supérieure d'Arts Paris-Cergy. Em 2022, realizou sua primeira curta animada, "Regresso". Hoje, estuda Design Gráfico na ESAD.CR, onde trabalha com ilustração e artes gráficas.
Rita Monteiro (24 anos, Lisboa) é uma artista multidisciplinar cujo interesse pela escrita despertou desde muito cedo. Licenciou-se em Estudos Gerais na Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa, tirou uma Pós-Graduação em Artes da Escrita na FCSH e está neste momento a fazer um mestrado em Estética e Estudos Artísticos, também na FCSH.
ENG | Lucas (25 years old, Ovar) is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in Fine Arts and Philosophy, with experience in stop motion, performance, new media, and graphic arts. He earned a degree in General Studies from FBAUL and FLUL, and also studied at the École Supérieure d'Arts Paris-Cergy. In 2022, he completed his first animated short film, Regresso. He is currently studying Graphic Design at ESAD.CR, where he works with illustration and graphic arts.
Rita Monteiro (24 years old, Lisbon) is a multidisciplinary artist whose interest in writing began at a very young age. She graduated in General Studies at the Faculty of Letters of Lisbon, completed a Postgraduate Degree in the Arts of Writing at FCSH, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Aesthetics and Artistic Studies, also at FCSH.
